So remember a month or so ago when that nice pretty AppleCheeks logo showed up? And I mentioned that TNB would be in all AppleCheeks? And that we are OFFICIALLY an all AppleCheeks family? Well a package arrived today. It made me squeal with delight, and then marvel at just how TINY newborn babies are.
See those diapers? That’s what TNB will be wearing for the first few months of her life. My picture really doesn’t do the colors justice (especially the Rasberry Sorbet!! The pink ones at the top left for those that aren’t AppleCheeks converts). They are SO bright and beautiful and fun. I seriously cannot wait to start cloth with TNB. M has been in exclusively AppleCheeks for about 6 months now, and we have never looked back! We love the brand, we love the diapers, and we LOVE the cute that covers his butt when he’s wearing them.
Let’s back up a little. I first found out about AppleCheeks a few months before M’s first birthday. I asked if they would sponsor Birthday Bash, and they did!! You can go read my Birthday Bash review if you’re interested! As soon as we got the sample for the Birthday Bash review I fell instantly in love. It was SUCH a pretty color, and was so much easier to use than I had ever thought an insert and cover would be!
Since then I noticed that regardless of how many diapers I had to choose from, I’d reach for the AppleCheeks first – and I’d be disappointed if there weren’t any available. I quickly decided to trade in my stash of random diapers for ALL AppleCheeks for M. And so, when I found out I was pregnant again, I just knew TNB would be an AppleCheeks baby from the start!
One of the biggest things I love about AppleCheeks is that it’s a two size system. M is in size 2, and has been the entire time. Obviously TNB will start out in size 1! When I first started cloth diapering, I figured one size diapers were the way to go – that’s what 90% of my stash was made up of. But here’s the thing with one sizers… I don’t think they actually fit ALL babies. We started to transition to cloth when M was 7 months old. At 7 months, he was on the smallest settings on most of his one size diapers. I honestly don’t think a newborn baby would fit into the one size diapers we have tried. AppleCheeks agrees – which is why they made a 2 size system. Sure, you might have to get a few more diapers, but in the end isn’t it worth it to have diapers that REALLY fit your baby?
I’m sure there will be plenty more posts about AppleCheeks once TNB is here. I might even have to get professional pictures of both my kids covered in bright, vibrant, super adorable cloth (and nothing else of course!). But for now, I’ll spend my time staring at the tiny little size 1 diapers… and cleaning poop off the somewhat larger size 2 diapers

SOOOOOO pretty. That Raspberry Sorbet really is the prettiest color I have ever seen.

Ooooh. If I didn’t have so many CDs already + no more kids on the way, I’d be all about them. Enjoy!
